Kirby Smith is a Northern Illinois legend! Since arriving in the fall of 1966, Kirby was a 3-sport coach in baseball, football and basketball. In a 21-year high school varsity baseball coaching career, Kirby posted a record of 539-196-7 which places him among the winningest coaches in Illinois high school baseball history. His teams won their division or conference in 15 of those years and he is a member of the Illinois High School Coaches Hall Of Fame. Over 100 of his players have played at the collegiate level and 3 have gone on to the Major Leagues. Throws: Right, Bats: Right
