Introduction
The 2012 Ross Natoli Catholic University Baseball Fall Prospect Camp is designed for the advanced high school student-athlete in grades 9-12 who is striving to reach their full potential and eventually compete at the college level. All players will have an opportunity to meet, learn and be evaluated by current Catholic University baseball coaches.
Our Camp coaching staff and instructors will include the Catholic University Baseball Coaching Staff, led by Head Coach Ross Natoli in his 28th year, head assistant and pitching coach Bernie Dennis, and assistant coaches Bobby Picardo, Dan Sullivan and Kevin O'Keefe. Varsity players from the 2012-2013 Catholic University Baseball Team will also be on staff to participate as assistant camp instructors and interact with prospects.
Our camp goals are to provide a forum for prospective student-athletes to display their athletic and baseball talents to the Catholic University Baseball coaching staff. We will also provide instruction to improve each player's fundamental skills and prepare players to the fullest for their potential college baseball careers. The two-day format will emphasize pitching, individual defensive position play, hitting fundamentals, base running, strength and agility training, and game experience.
Participants will be tested and evaluated in key skills areas including: arm strength, running speed, hitting, pitching, catching, throwing, fielding and base running during position-specific instructional skill development sessions and live game play. Sessions covering the unique features of Catholic University and the Cardinal Baseball program, our academic requirements and expectations, the college recruiting and admissions process, balancing college academics and baseball, and a campus tour for players and parents included. A players' dinner on campus and a Parents & Coaches Baseball Forum will also be included.
